Ofsted Inspection Report

We are delighted to announce that the Ofsted report has now been released, a copy of which can be seen by clicking the above link.

The school has been graded ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ for behaviour and safety of pupils.  We are very pleased with the outcome especially in the current environment where inspections are becoming increasingly more difficult.   We were amongst the first schools in the country to be inspected under a newly updated and tougher inspection regime.

The inspector was very positive about all aspects of the school and this comes across in the report’s summary which lists 13 positive areas and only 2 areas to work on to reach outstanding. (Only 6% of ‘all-through’ primary schools were rated as outstanding last year.)  Reports will always give schools targets to further develop and we will continue to work hard to meet these.

There are many points to celebrate in the report but a couple that stand out are:

‘There is a very positive and welcoming school atmosphere where pupils learn and thrive’

‘Pupils show considerable enthusiasm for learning and their outstanding behaviour supports their academic achievement’.
